Henshin Saying: Infernal Blaze Consume! Transformation: Raises pendant into the air and calls out “Infernal Blaze Consume”. Sparks fly from the pendant and forms a circular arc around her. As the sparks touch the ground around her they burst into flame and swirl around her into a consuming blaze that completely covers her. She spreads her arms out straight from her body as the flames blaze around her and forms her fuku then begins to reveal her body and then swirls around her back as her hair is blown into her face. The flames form white wings with streaks of red feathers and the bottom tips of the wings are deep red. (a little smaller than ESM's but think manga style, not the anime wings ESM had) As her wings finish forming on her back the fire splits and swirls around each arm, forming the gloves and then finally her staff appears in the midst of the flames and as she takes the staff, the flames swirl up it and disappear into the garnet.
Fuku: 2-layer brick red and white skirt with a red garnet set into the center of the waistband of the skirt. White cropped top with a brick red collar and bows with a locket set into the center of the front bow with the image of the staff emblazoned on the top. She wears red dangly rose earrings with a small garnet in the center. She wears red heeled boots with a white band and red star at the top. Her gloves are long and white with 3 bands of brick red, white, and true red at the elbows.
Powers:
Inferno Blaze: Sailor Inferno raises a hand into the air as a light flashes and fire appears in her hand. The fire quickly consumes her hands as she spins and throws single or multiple balls of fire as the need arises. ~Consuming Fire~ Fire flashes up from the ground around her and surrounds her body. She seems to dance amongst the flames for just a moment before drawing her arms in to her chest and then flinging them outwards in the direction of the enemy as a large wave of fire flies at the enemy and slams into anyone unlucky enough to stay in its range.
Fiery Sword Slash: Flames surround the length of the blade as she rushes at the enemy. As she slashes at the enemy with the sword, the flames work with the sharpness of the blade to sever or gravely injure anyone hit with the blade. The flames on the blade can also burn the enemy if they get too close but still miss the blade itself. Weapon: Tall silver staff with a garnet crystal set at the top. The staff can transform into a sword as needed by depressing a button which causes it to change into the sword. The blade itself is not very wide or thick but it is made of very strong but light steel. She is also able to channel her powers through the staff or sword. Also, when attacking using her first two powers, the staff or sword will float at her side until she is able to grasp it again directly after the attack is made.
Background:
Kathleen was born and raised on Mars, the daughter of a wealthy and noble family (not related to Rei, princess of Mars). One of her closest friends was Tomi Kiyoshi. He was always quiet but she had somehow managed to break through his aloofness and form a friendship. She was a happy child, friendly with all who knew her. She had her occasional flares of temper that would get her into trouble but it never lasted long. She had always had an affinity for flame that sometimes concerned her parents until her identity was revealed as a Senshi. Her parents often had parties that included the more “common” folk of the estate and surrounding town she lived in. They had a large bonfire one evening as the days grew cooler and she had been playing near the fire with some of the other young teens. They had gotten too close while playing tag and she had tripped and fallen into the bonfire. The fire immediately blazed and consumed her, causing those who had seen her fall into the flame to scream in fear. Yet Kathleen was silent and amazed as the fire blazed around her. She felt the heat of the flame yet it did not alarm her nor did it burn her. She blinked as a bright light appeared before her. In the midst of this strange light was a tall staff with a garnet on top of it. She slowly reached out, grasping it. As she touched it, she felt red-hot energy buzz through her body and she heard two words echo through her mind “Sailor Inferno!” She gazed at the staff in awe before her senses returned to her and she heard the screams around the bonfire. She turned and walked out of the bonfire, still holding the staff at her side. She stepped out and looked around at everyone as they fell silent. Her parents rushed up to her, concern written across their faces. “It's okay…I'm a Senshi...like Sailor Mars…I'm - I'm Sailor Inferno!” Kathleen said excitedly as she showed them the staff and then touched the garnet. She jumped slightly as it shrunk suddenly into the size of a pendant with a silver chain attached. She smiled and quickly latched it around her neck, looking at it for a moment. After her parents had taken a moment to take this new information in, they smiled and sighed in relief before turning to the people who were looking on in shock. “Thank you for your concern. Kathleen is not harmed…she has just found out that she is a Senshi, Sailor Inferno. Let us welcome her in to her new abilities!!!” her father called out. The people were silent for a moment in surprise before they erupted in shouts and applause as Kathleen looked around in happiness. Soon the commotion died down and she returned to playing with her friends.
Soon after, she began training as a Senshi and would often go to the moon for extensive training and also formed close friendships with the other planetary Senshi. She was on the moon when Beryl attacked and was subsequently reborn on Earth in a small town near Dublin, Ireland as the daughter of a wealthy Irish lord. She grew up in a happy family, often going horse-riding and traveled often with her parents to many different countries. She rediscovered her powers at a young age and privately began training herself in the fields, away from the prying eyes of family and the townsfolk.
Soon after she turned 15, she traveled to Japan with her parents. Her father had a business merger with a company in Japan and they had decided to live there for about a couple of years for the completion of the merger and to make everything went smoothly the first couple of years. Kathleen went to the same private school as Hino Rei although they had very little contact since Kathleen is a couple years older than the inner Senshi. After a couple of months however she was beginning to get to know them at the arcade. (She also loved video games). She would also run into them occasionally in Senshi form but introductions were never made as she would appear and then quickly run off after the job was done. At one point, she did discover their identity, but she kept it a secret as well as her own, not quite ready to get that involved with the group. Her family returned to Ireland just after the ship came and took over Japan in a bloodbath. She had tried to fight with the Senshi, but to no use. She had fallen with them in defeat, lending her power to Sailor Moon just before passing out. She had watched, too weak to move or even speak to stop Demando from taking Serenity.
She returned to Ireland in shame, unable to assist in the failed rescue attempts. She was able to hide in Ireland for some time until the resistance began and she heard word of it. Her parents had died since they had returned and she was now alone, residing over the estate her parents had left her. The effects of the poison from Demando's reign had reached even to Ireland and across the world. She had done what she could for her estate and surrounding area, forming a smaller underground network of her own. When she heard of Usagi's resurfacing as Demando's bride, she was heartbroken and decided it was time to return to Japan and find the Senshi once more and work with them. She left a trusted friend, one of the many Halflings she had taken in and trained to assist her in caring for the other freaks of nature that had resulted from Demando's poison over the earth. She arrived in Japan, soon making her way to the Cherry Hill Temple to offer her assistance to the priestess there…her friend, Hino Rei.
